Andersons Live Music Night

 

​We are delighted to announce 5 new gigs during March to May.

 

First up "Andersons have the Blues n Beyond”

The Susan Tomelty Band

​

Featuring the amazing Susan Tomelty on vocals and guitar; the wonderful Brian Harris also on guitar, who has played with Bobby Whitlock and Steve Cropper to name but a few and Paul Finley on piano/keys, who has played with Picturehouse, Michael Buckley House of Horns and many more.

They will be performing songs from Bonnie Raitt, Dylan, BB King, Junior Wells, Etta James,   Peter Green, and much more.

​Saturday 25 April - Cormac Kenevey & Band

Critically acclaimed vocalist Cormac Kenevey is joined by some of Irelands leading jazz musicians, Darragh O’Kelly, Cormac OBrien and Shane O’Donovan to perform an intimate concert of music, exploring the romance of mid 20th century interpretations of such icons as Chet Baker, Frank Sinatra, Mark Murphy and the great American Songbook

Saturday 16 May - The Patrice Brun Quartet

Patrice Brun is a French saxophonist, established in Ireland since the late 90’s, and has been an active member of the jazz scene since the early 2000’s, leading his own groups, and sharing the stage with Irish musicians such as Louis Stewart, Conor Guilfoyle, and The Stunning among others.

Patrice is bringing us a new jazz quartet featuring Australian pianist Greg Lloyd, bassist Cormac O’Brien, and drummer Michael McCarthy. Together, they will perform classic jazz standards taken from the repertoire of the 1950’s and 60’s as well as some original compositions.

Saturday 30 May - Charlie Moon Quartet

Drawing on music  from the likes of Chet Baker, George Benson, Frank Sinatra and some 50s and 60s hard-bop alongside a broad mix of music from the jazz tradition.

Acclaimed as Ireland’s ‘ rising star’ of Jazz by The Irish Times Charlie Moon , guitarist and vocalist stands out as a singularvoice in the realms of cool jazz, blues and soul jazz. He is joined by Cormac O’ Brien on Double Bass, Greg Felton on Piano and Brendan Doherty on Drums, and on 4 December he is again joined by Cormac O’Brien on Double Bass, Shane O’ Donovan on Drums with Darragh Hennessy on Piano.
